People all over the world mourn for the loss of one of the most influential Christian pastors of our time, Billy Graham; but is this the way he wanted it?
I thought it was beautiful what Pastor Graham said about his health issues.
“Someone asked me recently if I didn’t think God was unfair, allowing me to have medical problems when I have tried to serve Him faithfully. I replied that I did not see it that way at all. Suffering is part of the human condition, and it comes to us all. The key is how we react to it, either turning away from God in anger and bitterness or growing closer to Him in trust and confidence.” (Link)
Before parting, I’d also like to mention his organization, Steps to Peace, which helps guide people to find peace in their lives with God.
“My one purpose in life is to help people find a personal relationship with God. Which I believe comes from knowing Christ.” – Billy Graham (found here)
The site displays 4 steps to achieving this peace which leads to insurmountable joy in your life. Step one is to understand God’s purpose is for us is peace and life. Step two informs us that the obstacle is our separation from God through our sin. Step 3 explains how God is a bridge to peace in our lives. Step four says the way to cross that bridge is to receive Christ as our savior. Easy as that.
Billy Graham died February 22nd at the age of 99 years. He has changed the lives of people all over the world with his simple, life-changing message of salvation & God’s love. We mourn his passing, but we should also rejoice that he is alive and well in heaven! Amen!
