His Encouragement #1

Hey guys! I hope you’re having an amazing week so far. Thursdays can be tough as it’s not really the weekend, but the work week is almost over.

This is the time of the week that I really need a pick me up and I bet you do too. That’s why I’ve joined in with a group of bloggers to start posting His Encouragement Thursdays every Thursday. (Sorry this went up late today).

The scripture I’m focusing on this week is:

Hebrews 10:36

“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.”

This verse really meant a lot to me this week in particular. It’s a promise straight from our Father that if we stay firm through the trials and don’t waiver in our faith that we WILL reach the end and we WILL receive his blessings that he’s promised.

It is really difficult when you feel like you’ve been pushed to your limits and you just can’t take any more. God doesn’t tell us that the road to righteousness is a wide open,  easy going one. He doesn’t say that if we follow Him and do His will that we will live a easy peasy life without troubles. No. The scripture says that we will be persecuted, tested, and pushed to our limits.

It’s how we handle these trials that determines the strength of our faith. Sometimes doing the will of God may hurt a little or be difficult for us. However, if we stick with it to the end, we will see the end results and reach His promises.

How amazing is that?

We have a guarantee straight from our Creator that if we continue to do His will even when times are hard, we will receive his promises. If you don’t know what those are, they are listed all through the scripture.

Now, it’s your turn!

What Biblical verse is encouraging you today?

  1. “The scripture says that we will be persecuted, tested, and pushed to our limits. It’s how we handle these trials that determines the strength of our faith.” Amen!

When everything is going smoothly, it can be easy to grow complacent in our relationship with the Lord. To not spend time in prayer or studying His word, but it is often through these trials that our faith is tested and refined. (1 Peter 1:6-7) Thank you so much for sharing Hebrews 10:36!
