His Encouragement #4

[Jesus said] “You are the light of the world. Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:14-16

I love this verse. There is so much encouragement and inspiration behind this that will pick you up to keep doing good in a world so full of negativity.
Evil is comparable to darkness in the world. Righteousness is the light. Wherever there is light, the darkness can not stand.
Be that light.
As you walk through life today, do everything you can to spread the fruits of the spirit (joy, peace, love, kindness, gentleness, patience, etc…) wherever you go. God wants us to walk as an example of His grace and righteousness in this world, so that all who see the good you do will know that it comes from Him.
Find someone in your life, stranger or friend, and make a commitment to pray for them today! How do you pray for a stranger? Try this:
Pray that God will bless them today. If they don’t know Him, that God will move in their life to make Himself known to them in some way. Pray for their relationship with Him and that they are able to be a blessing as well as receive them.
I think it would be a cool project to pick a stranger/family/friend every day to pray for.
You can do it during your prayer time in private or be bold and pray in public. Have you ever had a stranger come up to you randomly and ask to pray for you? Maybe during church service or maybe randomly in front of the grocery store? It’s a powerful thing to witness. So many times, that person will tell you that they were just asking God for help or someone to pray for them. Those people will sometimes be on the brink of catastrophe and in desperate need of intercession through prayer.
You can be that person who intercedes for them.

**What are your prayer goals???***

Now, it’s your turn!

What Biblical verse is encouraging you today?
